Full-Stack Developer (Django & Angular)

We are seeking a talented Contract Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team on a flexible basis, contributing to the development and scaling of our platform.

Responsibilities:

Backend Development:

1. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
2. Implement user authentication and authorization with Django Allauth or Django Rest Auth, utilizing JWT for stateless authentication.
3. Write unit tests and ensure high code quality through best practices.
4. Understand asynchronous task management using Celery.
5. Utilize Django signals for effective event handling and notifications within the application.
6. Write Python scripts for data cleaning and processing, handling missing values, removing duplicates, and addressing outliers to enhance processing efficiency.
7. Integrate payment gateways, email services, customer support, blogging, and content management systems.

Frontend Development:

1. Build responsive web application using the Angular framework.
2. Integrate AG Grid and AG Charts for visualizing data, ensuring a seamless user experience.
3. Participate in the design process to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
4. Develop hybrid mobile application using the Ionic Framework with Angular.
5. Deployment and DevOps:
6. Deploy the Django backend and Angular frontend to DigitalOcean Droplets.
7. Set up and configure managed databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) on DigitalOcean for data storage.
8. Implement caching strategies using managed Redis to enhance performance.
9. Utilize DigitalOcean Spaces for storing and serving static assets.
10. Containerize applications using Docker and manage multi-container environments with Docker Compose.
11. Set up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment.
12. Employ Ansible or Terraform for infrastructure management and deployment automation.
13. Ensure application security by implementing HTTPS and managing sensitive information.
14. Establish monitoring and logging for application performance and troubleshooting.

Collaboration and Documentation:

1. Work closely with the Executive Director and Marketing Manager to align development efforts with business goals.
2. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for APIs, code, and deployment processes.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience (3+ years) in full-stack development with a strong understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, including Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Angular, and Ionic.
2. Experience with DigitalOcean products and services.
3. Proficient in DevOps practices, including Docker and Docker Compose (2+ years), CI/CD with GitHub Actions (1+ year), asynchronous task management with Celery, and infrastructure management using Ansible or Terraform.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
5. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps and services is a plus.
