We’re on the lookout for a skilled Backend Developer who loves working with Python and FastAPI to help us build and scale powerful APIs. If clean code, fast execution, and high-performance systems get you excited – you might be a great fit.

About the Role :

We are developing next-generation AI voice agents and we need a Backend / Full-Stack Engineer to design and implement the infrastructure and features that power our voice-based solutions. You’ll work alongside ML Engineers to ensure smooth integration between the AI models and the user-facing interfaces.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and efficient back-end services. You’ll leverage modern cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and best DevOps practices to ensure our system can handle real-time voice interactions with minimal latency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. API & Microservices Development

Design and implement RESTful and Websockets using FastAPI to interface with AI modules (ASR, TTS, NLP).
Develop and maintain secure, scalable microservices architectures that enable real-time processing of voice data.
Optimize performance and throughput for concurrent requests, minimizing latency in voice interactions.
2. Real-Time Data Processing & Streaming

Implement real-time streaming pipelines (using WebSockets) to handle audio data in a low-latency environment.
Collaborate with ML teams to efficiently route and process audio and text data for transcription and synthesis.
3. Database & Data Management

Build and maintain database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) to store user sessions, interaction data, and usage analytics.
Implement caching (Redis, Memcached) to handle high-traffic scenarios and reduce response times for frequently accessed data.
Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) where applicable.
4. Deployment

Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes or similar platforms.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment of Python-based services.
Deploy and maintain back-end services on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), optimizing for latency, cost, performance, and reliability.
Ensure robust security practices (encryption, secure token handling, data privacy compliance) throughout the development and deployment process.
5. Security & Access Control

Set up secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2) for internal and external APIs.
Implement best practices for data encryption at rest and in transit, adhering to security guidelines.
6. Monitoring & Logging

Set up monitoring and logging for microservices (using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to track performance, availability, and error rates.
Establish alerting mechanisms to proactively address system issues or potential bottlenecks.
Qualifications:

Technical Skills

Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions.
Strong grounding in DSA and proven experience designing scalable, maintainable systems.
Solid experience with python web frameworks like Django and FastAPI(optional).
Understanding of microservices design patterns, including containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Experience with real-time streaming solutions (WebSockets, gRPC, Kafka) for audio or data streaming.
Familiarity with messaging services like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies for asynchronous communication.
Proficiency in relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Any familiarity or hands-on experience with Livekit, Crewai or other AI agent frameworks is optional but a strong plus.
Experience with ReactJS and NodeJS is optional.
