Frontend Development Intern

As a frontend development intern, you’ll work on SpeedVitals’ product frontend. It’s a great chance to gain real-world experience building a production web app using modern frameworks. In this role, you’ll build new features and flows, fix bugs, improve performance, and iterate on the UI/UX. You’ll work closely with full-time engineers to bring the product vision to life.

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Design mockups and specs and build new features
2. Identify and fix bugs and issues in the frontend code
3. Improve the performance of the app through optimizations
4. Build reusable UI components
5. Learn and contribute to our frontend architecture and patterns
6. Document your code and technical decisions

What we’re looking for:

1. Proficient in HTML, CSS, ReactJS, and JS with an understanding of UI/UX
2. Current student pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or IT
3. Experience building responsive web apps or interest in learning it
4. Familiarity with modern frontend tools and libraries
5. Experience with React
6. Experience with Git and GitHub workflows
